Ne Myo Han is a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his B.Eng. (medalist) and M.Phil. in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) under the supervision of Prof. Jang-Kyo Kim, and worked at ASM Pacific Technology as a materials engineer. He is supported by the Croucher Scholarship for Doctoral Study. At MIT, his research focuses on the growth and layer transfer of III-V, complex oxides, and 2D materials.

Giho Lee is a Mechanical Engineering graduate student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering at Seoul National University in 2022. During the B.S. course, he worked on the neuromorphic device’s deep neural networks (DNNs) training performance simulation. At MIT, His research focuses on neuromorphic computing and its edge computing application.

Post-doctoral Associate
Jiho Shin received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Cornell University, and finished Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under guidance of Prof. John A. Rogers. His Ph.D. research involved transient intracranial pressure and temperature sensors protected with thermally-grown silicon dioxide encapsulations that enable long device lifetimes. His research at MIT will involve wearable electronics and micro-LEDs/photodetectors.

Post-doctoral Associate
Kuangye Lu received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT under the supervision of Prof. Jeehwan Kim. He received his B.S. in physics from Zhejiang University, China. His research at MIT focuses on epitaxial growth and heterointegration of III-V, III-N, and 2D materials, as well as exploring novel functions of devices based on these heterostructures.

Sangho Lee received B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering at Hanyang University and MIT. He received Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at MIT under the supervision of Prof. Jeehwan Kim and Prof. Caroline A. Ross. His Ph.D. research was focused on nanoscale engineering for mixed-dimensional heterostructure growth and integration. As a postdoc at MIT, his research focuses on remote epitaxy and heterointegration of single crystalline complex oxide membranes.

Ki Seok Kim received his Ph.D. degree in Advanced Materials Science & Engineering from Sungkyunkwan University under the supervision of Prof. Geun Young Yeom. His research was selective interlayer control of 2D materials through atomic layer etching. His research at MIT focuses on growth and interlayer control of 2D materials for remote epitaxy.

Bo-In Park received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) under the supervision of Prof. Jihun Oh and Prof. Seung Yong Lee at KIST (co-advisor). Before MIT, he worked on the development of new materials for memory semiconductor at SK Hynix. At MIT, his research focuses on III-N and SiC remote epitaxy with wafer-scale single-crystalline 2D materials for skin-electronics, HEMT devices, and microLED.

Junmin Suh received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University under supervision of Prof. Ho Won Jang. His Ph.D. research was mainly focused on nanostructure design of various semiconducting materials including metal oxides and 2-dimensional materials, and evaluation of their gas sensing properties. He is granted by National Research Foundation (NRF) in South Korea for his research. At MIT, his research focuses on wearable electronic devices and neuromorphics.

Min-Kyu Song received his B.S in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Ph.D. in Integrated Technology from Yonsei University under the supervision of Prof. Jang-Yeon Kwon. During the Ph.D. course, he worked on developing neuromorphic devices based on bio-derived peptide materials. He is granted by National Research Foundation (NRF) in South Korea for his research. At MIT, his research focuses on neuromorphic devices.

Jekyung Kim received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science & Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) under the supervision of Prof. Byungha Shin. His Ph.D. research focused on multinary chalcogenides and nitrides and their applications into electronic device. After Ph.D. he conducted research on developing new process technique for logic devices at Samsung Electronics. At MIT, his research focuses on III-N remote epitaxy and its application into skin electronics.

At MIT, his research focuses on wireless wearable electronic devices and micro-LEDs/photodetectors.

Young Jin Yoo received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) under the supervision of Prof. Young Min Song. His Ph.D. research focused on nanophotonics and advanced optical systems, specifically those based on porous semiconductors and micro-lens arrays. He is granted by National Research Foundation (NRF) in South Korea for his research. At MIT, his research focuses on wearable electronic devices and neuromorphics.

Jung-El Ryu received his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering at Yonsei University. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University under supervision of Prof. Ho Won Jang. His Ph.D. research was mainly focused on growth and device fabrication of GaN based micro-LEDs and synthesis of metal oxide nanoparticles and evaluation of their gas sensing properties. He is granted by Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) for his research. At MIT, his research focuses on remote epitaxy, heterointegration, and device fabrication of complex oxide membranes.

Seong Ho Cho received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University under the supervision of Prof. Yun Seog Lee, by working on perovskite-based optoelectronics, defect analysis and passivation by 2D materials. At MIT, his work includes remote epitaxy and heterointegration of III-V/III-N materials.
